Discover my journey as a passionate filmmaker, exploring how my creative upbringing and experiences at London Screen Academy have shaped my love for storytelling and technical expertise in film.
Growing up in a family of creatives, storytelling and artistic expression have always been integral parts of my life. My journey took a significant turn when I earned a place at the London Screen Academy (LSA), an institution renowned for its outstanding educational standards. Without hesitation, I chose LSA over a spot at an Oxbridge school, because I knew LSA was where I could truly hone my storytelling skills.
The first two years at LSA were a period of exploration and self-discovery. While I delved into various aspects of filmmaking, it wasn't until I received my diploma that I began to find my true place in the film industry. The environment at LSA, surrounded by incredibly talented colleagues who shared a profound passion for storytelling, played a crucial role in shaping my path.
Witnessing their dedication and fervor, I was inspired to focus on the technical aspects of filmmaking. I realised that understanding how to tell a story is just as important as the story itself. This realisation led me to immerse myself in the technical side of film production, from camera operation and lighting to grip work. I discovered a deep love for these elements and their power to bring stories to life.
Each project I've worked on has been a stepping stone, helping me grow both professionally and personally. My experiences have taught me the importance of collaboration, innovation, and continual learning. As I continue my journey, I remain committed to mastering the art and craft of filmmaking, always striving to create visually compelling and emotionally resonant stories.
The best way to describe me and my passion for filmmaking can be seen in the pitch I made for "Kung Fu Kenzo," embedded here:
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and the chance to collaborate with fellow storytellers who share my passion for the magic of cinema.
