"Forgotten Jedi" is a non-profit, unofficial fan-film about a young Jedi Knight who accidentally lands on Earth. The story unfolds as he is pursued by a specialized underground government and a mysterious Inquisitor. This project, directed by a friend, spanned around 22 shoot days, including one in South End. Despite having no budget, the film was executed well, thanks to strong direction and a committed team. The production, while informal, maintained a professional approach throughout.
The film, despite its non-profit nature and lack of budget, was completed successfully. The direction was solid, and the collaborative efforts of the cast and crew resulted in a well-made film. The extensive shoot schedule allowed for significant skill development and provided a comprehensive learning experience in various roles and areas of interest.
In "Forgotten Jedi," I took on multiple roles, which greatly expanded my experience and skills. I was involved in various aspects of the production, including Supporting actor, boom op, gaffer, working closely with different departments and learning to adapt to multiple responsibilities. This project was instrumental in honing my abilities and increasing my efficiency on set.
This was one of my first experiences filming, and it was both fun and challenging. At that point, we were not very skilled and lacked the proper organisation to ensure smooth shoot days. Despite these challenges, it was an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various roles.
Working on "School of Gangsters" allowed me to understand different aspects of film production, from handling the camera to managing lighting and sound. It was a significant learning experience, helping me to develop a versatile skill set.
Considering our inexperience, I believe the project turned out decent. It was an invaluable learning experience that laid the foundation for my skills in the film industry.

In this film, my brother Federico, who's an amazing 3D Creative, worked on the CGI. As it happened, he is a huge fan of Star Wars, which made his contributions even more passionate and detailed. Check out his work at https://www.federicofesta.com/work!
Matteo on this film was a crucial member of the team. Throughout productions, depending on the date and location, sometimes I had various different alterations in people taking upon the same roles on rotation- but Matteo was the crew member with one of the most attendance having a huge impact on the making of this film. Not only does he work to his fullest at the productions highs but also at the productions lows. One shoot day in particular we shot at Southend and the weather immediately turned against the whole crew giving us a huge thunderstorm midway through shooting. With our entire crew getting drenched, some were very bummed out by the disruptance but Matteo kept persistence and maintaining high moral, helping pushing the crew to get to shelter and not giving up (as we had to run a long way to get covered). One of the most important things on a film set is to be positive and Matteo definitely insured that was the case during this day. Matteo covered many roles across the whole production on different days: Gaffer, Location Sound Mixer, Boom Operator, Camera Operator and even part of the supporting cast.
